EXP-2 - Selecting Profession and Discipline/Specialty of Individuals Trained

For psychiatry residents, please select "Medicine" as the profession and "Psychiatry" as the specialty. 

EXP-2 - Entering # Trained in the Profession and Discipline

Note

Principal trainees are those who participated in your training program. These are the individuals reported on the Individual Characteristics (IND-GEN) form.

Note

Do not enter counts for faculty, site staff, or other non-trainees.

Note

If you are reporting "Other Interprofessional" trainees but NO Principal trainees for a particular disciplne, enter a zero in Column 4.

EXP-2 - Entering # of Other Interprofessional trainees who participated in team-based care

Counts should not include individuals reported on INDGEN. Individuals reported on INDGEN should be counted in Column 4 as a Principal trainee.

Note
Do not count faculty, site supervisors, or site support staff who are at the site, but not participating in the experiential training. 

To Complete the Form: Click on the “Save and Validate” button located on the bottom right corner of your screen. If no errors are found, the BPMH system will automatically route you to the next required subform.

EXP-2 - Adding Individuals Trained Example

FIRST EXAMPLE:

At Site A, there were 24 peer paraprofessional students in your certificate program. These principal trainees did not train with anyone from a different training program or with any other professions. In this scenario, you would create one row for the peer paraprofessional students at Site A and then report the 24 peer paraprofessional students in column 4 and 0 in column 5.

SECOND EXAMPLE:

At Site B, 3 peer paraprofessional students in your certificate program received experiential training. The 3 peer paraprofessional students trained alongside 5 peer paraprofessional students and 3 Community Health Workers who were not part of your certificate program. In this example, you would need to create two rows for Site B; one row to capture the peer paraprofessional students and one row for the Community Health Workers. 

• In the first row, you would report the 3 peer paraprofessional students from your certificate program in Column 4 and the 5 peer paraprofessional students who were not part of your certificate program in the same row in Column 5. 
• Then, you would create a second row to report the Community Health Workers. Because none of them were associated with your certificate program, you would enter 0 for column 4 and 3 in column 5.
