Faculty Development – Setup
Selecting Faculty Development ActivitiesPurpose: The Faculty Development Setup form will configure all subforms specific to faculty development. Figure 1. Selecting Faculty Development Activities Select the type(s) of faculty development activities supported with grant funds during the current annual reporting period. Options on the Faculty Setup form will be automatically pre-selected if you have previously reported one or more training programs or activities through the FD-1a, FD-2a, or FD-4a subforms. Structured Faculty Development Training Program: A structured faculty development program is more intensive than a faculty development activity and may lead to a certification. For example, a multi-week course on identifying and reducing burnout in health professions students would be a structured faculty development program.
Faculty Development Activity: A faculty development activity is shorter and less curriculum-driven than a structured faculty development program. For example, a "lunch and learn" seminar on identifying and reducing burnout in health professions students would be a faculty development activity.
