Training Program Setup - Selecting Type of Training Program

Warning

Report Leadership Institutes on the PC-3 form as a structured training program.

Warning

Report individuals who completed a field placement or faculty-student collaborative project using one record on the PC-7 form. You will complete one INDGEN record for these individuals and identify the training components completed (for example, field placement or collaborative project) in column 35a on the INDGEN form.

Purpose: The Training Program Setup form will configure all subsequent subforms specific your training program(s).

Select Type of Training Program Offered: Adding NEW Training Programs:
Select the type of training program supported through the grant during the current annual reporting period by clicking on the drop-down menu next to “Select Type of Training Program Offered” and choosing the following option:

Non-degree structured training program (Structured)
Practicum/Field Placement program

For a Non-degree bearing Structured or Unstructured Training Program, Select Type of Training Activity: Select the type of training activity by clicking on the drop-down menu and choosing one of the following options:

Leadership Institute

For a Non-degree bearing Structured or Unstructured Training Program, Enter Name of Training Activity: Enter a name for the activity selected in the previous step.

For a Fellowship, Residency, Practicum/Field Placement, Internship or 1-year Retraining Program, Select the Primary Discipline of Individuals Trained

For a Fellowship, Residency, Practicum/Field Placement, Internship or 1-year Retraining Program, Select the Primary Discipline of Individuals Trained: Select the primary profession and discipline of students in the practicum/field placement by clicking on the drop-down menu and choosing one of below listed option.
Click on the "Add Record" button to save your entry.

Select Training Activity Status in the Current Reporting Period

Select Training Activity Status in the Current Reporting Period: Select the status of each practicum/field program at the end of the current reporting period (i.e., June 30, 2026) by choosing one of the options below:

Active
Complete
Inactive
Ongoing

Note

For Structured Training Programs, choose either Ongoing or Complete:

Ongoing: A structured or unstructured training program that did not conclude by June 30, 2026.
Complete: A structured or unstructured training program that concluded at some point during the reporting period (i.e. July 01, 2025 - June 30, 2026).

Note

For Practica/Field Placement Programs, chose either Active or Inactive:

Active: A training program that was offered during the reporting period. If you are reporting any activity for a program, select Active.
Inactive: A training program that was NOT offered during the reporting period. Selecting ‘Inactive’ indicates the program had no trainees, no graduates, no courses, no sites, no faculty development to report because nothing was offered during the reporting period. Note that by marking a program as inactive causes all records associated with the program to disappear so it should only be selected if you are sure you have nothing to report.

To Complete the Form: Click on "Save and Validate" on the bottom right corner of your screen. If no errors are found, the system will automatically route you to the next required subform.
