EXP-2 - Selecting Profession and Discipline/Specialty of Individuals Trained

EXP-2 - Entering # Trained in the Profession and Discipline

Note

Principal trainees are those who participated in your training program. These are the individuals reported on the Individual Characteristics (IND-GEN) form.

Do not count faculty.

Do not include interprofessional trainees; they will be reported in Column 5

EXP-2 - Entering # of Other Interprofessional Trainees who Participated in Team-based Care

Counts should not include individuals reported on INDGEN. Individuals reported on INDGEN should be counted in Column 4 as a Principal trainee.

Note
Do not count faculty, site supervisors, or site support staff who are at the site, but not participating in the experiential training. 

To Complete the Form: Click on the “Save and Validate” button located on the bottom right corner of your screen. If no errors are found, the BPMH system will automatically route you to the next required subform.

EXP-2 - Adding Individuals Trained Example

FIRST EXAMPLE:

At Site A, there were 24 medical students in your AHEC Scholars program. These principal trainees did not train with anyone from a different training program or with any other professions. In this scenario, you would create one row for the medical students at Site A and then report the 24 medical students in column 4 and 0 in column 5. 

SECOND EXAMPLE:

 At Site B, 3 medical students in your AHEC Scholars program received experiential training. The 3 medical students trained alongside 5 medical students and 3 nurse practitioners who were not part of your AHEC Scholars program. In this example, you would need to create two rows for Site B; one row to capture the medical students and one row for the nurse practitioners. 

• In the first row, you would report the 3 medical students from your AHEC Scholars program in Column 4 and the 5 medical students who were not part of your AHEC Scholars program in the same row in Column 5. 
• Then, you would create a second row to report the nurse practitioners. Because none of them were associated with your AHEC Scholars program, you would enter 0 for column 4 and 3 in column 5.
